Duties:

  • Work the floor Tuesday through Friday (Months of November - April)
  • Work the floor 2 - 3 days a week (May - October) - help part time confidence stylists as needed
  • Lead our team with integrity and create an environment where our team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
  • Live and embody the core values of Chelsea's Boutique
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service
  • Oversee the overall performance & upkeep of the store floor
  • Interviewing, hiring, & training new team members
  • Continuous upkeep of floor displays 
  • Help create seasonal window displays
  • Assist in reordering of merchandise
  • Communicate with management team the needs of the store, customers and confidence stylists
  • Manage and maintain the culture at Chelsea’s by loving on our employees with cards, gifts and random acts of kindness
  • Help process inventory as needed
  • Attend weekly manager meetings, monthly culture meetings, team get-togethers, and quarterly team meetings
  • Attend and help execute our monthly empowerment events
  • Oversee the overall performance of the store & make sure we’re hitting goals & deadlines and be able to pivot or come up with new ideas as needed
  • Work with our Brand & Media Manager to develop marketing plans & strategies to increase brand awareness, raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic & optimize profitability
  • Meet performance goals by mentoring, training, coaching, motivating & providing feedback to team members through positive & respectful leadership
  • Handle situations that arise from staff or customers 
  • Be the main point of contact for part time employees for questions and scheduling 
  • Understand all the technical platforms we use and be able to efficiently train others & troubleshoot problems
  • Fill in shift gaps when needed 
  • Posting to our VIP Facebook page at least twice a week (new arrival photos, videos, displays, etc…)
  • Meet with Chelsea monthly for leadership and personal development training
  • Attend at least 1 event (in person or online) a year on leadership development
  • Use Slack (our communication platform) to quickly and easily communicate with other team members
  • Use Asana to manage tasks

Requirements:

  • 3+ years past management experience (retail preferred but not required)
  • 40-50 hr work week depending on the season
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Inspired to perform well with an ability to drive new ventures within the business
  • Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help
